Nel blog doc2doc del BMJ ho appena postato il seguente commento ad uno scritto di Richard Lehmans. Pensate che sia possibile anche da noi una simile discussione? Stagnaro wrote: As regards the complicated relation between diabetes and Hb A1c, I fear that almost all Authors ignore a fundamental bias, I have illustrated on Ann Int Med, and CMAJ websites, among others, and in some Lectures. CAD is NOT a "complication" of diabetes, which occurs really decades after CAD Inherited Real Risk! In addition, CAD Inherited Reale Risk shows different intensity from patient to patient. In spite of present war against CAD, in diabetics and no diabetics, CAD continues to be a growing epidemics. As a consequence, it is far better starting CAD treatment earlier as possible, surely in presence of CAD, before diabetes onset, which obviously can invole exclusively individuals with diabetic AND dislipidemic constitutions. 9/2/2010 3:13 PM GMT
